“Friday the 13th: A day that’s been widely considered unlucky for so long that Historians debate on even the origin of it’s bad luck connotation. One thing for sure on last Friday’s recurrence is that there was nothing stopping 3 lucky locals and 1 budding International Star from turning an unlucky day into a prosperous day of history making significance. At least if you count the pursuit of happiness as a significant historical barometer of prosperity. Out of snow dances and other “lucky” snow inducing rituals during the the least fortunate snow year in the history of June Mountain, local shredders Pete Roman, Alex McCoy and Mike Fucci along with Cove Bikes/5.10/Troy Lee factory sponsored rider Mikey Sylvestri opted for an entirely different approach. The fortuitous foursome swapped their skis and boards for bikes and launched themselves into the air for the first ever mountain bike jib session in June Mountain’s Unbound Terrain Park. The lucky crew of 4 boosted everything in sight including their own snow starved spirits. All the action was caught by local film crew Blue Tip Productions and local photographer Matt Clausen.” Ernest Vogel . “It was the most productive 1 hour film session I have ever been a part of thanks to the riders” Mike B – Blue Tip Productions..
